Zusammenfassung: | Sleep is an important physiological process for the optimal functioning of the human body. Respiratory sleep disorders in children can be found in any age group with a prevalence of 2-5%. Genetic and metabolic syndromes in children associate a higher prevalence of sleep pathology. Polysomnography represents the gold standard investigation for evaluation and monitoring of breathing disorders associated with sleep. Early detection of sleep pathology in children and periodic monitoring plays an important role in improving quality of life of these patients. |
