Zusammenfassung:Intrathecal Bupivacaine is most commonly used local anesthetic for lower segment cesarean section (LSCS) but there is constant endeavour for search of a local anesthetic (LA) which has improved safety profile for mother as well as foetus. So far many adjuvants like fentanyl, morphine or tramadol etc. has been used with intrathecal LA to prolong intraoperative anesthesia and postoperative analgesia.
