Zusammenfassung:The paper is devoted to the expedition of Military research group at Novosibirsk regional House of Officers in 1959 to the guerilla battlefields in the region of the Chumysh River in Altai krai, Kemerovo and Novosibirsk regions. In the context of issues of organization and activity of Military research group as a public veteran organization the paper analyses one of the aspects of their activity - the study of military revolutionary memory of people in the regions of guerilla mass movement in the years of the Civil war. By means of the example of one of the expeditions of 1959 the route is reconstructed, the organization of transport support, night quarters, nutrition and sanitation is described. Through the estimation of the expedition membership, their attitude towards the Soviet everyday life and Socialist construction the authors reveal the role of retired military officers and veterans of the Civil war and the Great Patriotic war in the system of communication between authorities and society, the employment of Military research group expeditions for producing the dialogue between generations and organizing the interaction with common country people as well as with representatives of local administration bodies. It is concluded that the expeditions owing to the military field experience of their participants were able to work over about 50 settlements for one and a half month including taking interviews, recording recollections of former guerillas, finding out the condition of historical monuments.
