Zusammenfassung: | In order to prepare Co-Cr/Ni-Fe double layered films with a small transition area for perpendicular magnetic recording tape media, it is essential to reduce the standard deviation(σhk) of anisotropy field distribution of the Co-Cr recording layer. Co-Cr/Ni-Fe double layered films with Co67Cr33 underlayer deposited on polyimide substrate and Co67Cr33 inter layer between the Co-Cr recording layer and the Ni-Fe layer were prepared. The underlayer was effective for enhancing the crystallinity of the Co-Cr recording layer and also for reducing the σhk. In addition, the inter layer was effective for increasing the initial permeability of the Co-Cr/Ni-Fe double layered films up to 1120. Both the Co67Cr33 underlayer and inter layer were helpful in controlling the crystallinity and the magnetic characteristics of Co-Cr/Ni-Fe double layered films. |
