El Planteamiento Estructural Como Determinante Arquitectónico:La Nueva Galería Nacional De Berlín De Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe

Este artículo de investigación, a través del análisis de planos, imágenes y bibliografía, pretende determinar la influencia que el planteamiento y solución estructural ha tenido dentro del resultado arquitectónico de la nueva Galería Nacional de Berlín (diseño: 1962-1965, construcción: 1965-1968) diseñada por el arquitecto alemán Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886-1969), al definir las estrategias fundamentadas en la teoría estructural que determinan el resultado morfológico del proyecto. Por lo tanto, el análisis expondrá, de manera descriptiva, los conceptos estructurales evidentes en la obra, y que determinan el resultado formal y la organización funcional del edificio. AbstractThis research article, through the analysis of plans, images, and bibliography, aims to determine the influence that the structural approach and solution have had on the architectural result of the new National Gallery of Berlin (design: 1962-1965, construction: 1965-1968) designed by the German architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886-1969), defining the strategies based on the structural theory that determine the morphological result of the project. Therefore, the analysis will present in a descriptive manner the structural concepts evident in the work and that determine the formal result and the functional organization of the building, showing the interaction that these concepts have in the way of obtaining project solutions by the architectMies van der Rohe.
