Zusammenfassung:Layered double hydroxide Mg2Al-LDH with Mg2+/Al3+ molar ratio of 2 was prepared via urea method and used to remove two dyes, namely methyl orange (MO) and Congo red (CR) in monoionic and binary systems by batch adsorption. The results showed by X-ray diffraction analysis of Mg2Al-LDH confirm the crystal structure of the Mg2Al-LDH material. The adsorption of MO and CR in binary systems decreased in the case of the mixture, compared to MO and CR alone with 98 and 70% of MO and CR, respectively. According to this study's results, it could be concluded that Mg2Al-LDH adsorbent can be used effectively to remove anionic dyes from industrial wastewater.
