Matthias Katsch, a survivor of sexual violence, and Ulrike Barth, former head of the Eckiger Tisch e. V. initiative for victims, served as invited observers at the autumn conference of the German Educational Research Association (GERA/DGfE), titled “Reappraising Approaches to Addressing Sexualized Violence within the German Association for Educational Science: Implications, Desiderata, and Prospects”. From their clearly defined position, they will provide commentary, critique, and guidance regarding the ongoing process of necessary societal reevaluation.
