Zusammenfassung: | Studies have shown that early fluoride use or “low but excessive” fluoride intake during the development of teeth is a risk factor for dental fluorosis in both fluoridated and non-fluoridated environments. Fluorosis affects children under the age of six who have developing, unerupted, and erupted permanent teeth. This changes the appearance of the teeth and leads to mental disturbance. This review enumerates fluoride, fluoridated toothpastes and its utilization in children. |
