Zusammenfassung:In this paper, the genetic algorithm applies image processing to a particle tracking technique of visualized flow fields. The fundamentals of this technique are based on that the one-to-one correspondence is found between two tracer particles selected in two image planes by taking advantage of combinatorial optimization of the genetic algorithm. The fitness function controlling reproductive success in the genetic algorithm is expressed by physical distances between the selected tracer particles. In addition the possibility of realizing velocity measurement is examined through the application of this technique to simulated flow fields of computer animation.
