Zusammenfassung:The article attempts to present the periodization of the development of cultural relations between Russia and China in the field of music education. There are four key periods: before the 18th century; 18th - first half of the 19th century; second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries; end of the 20th century - present time. The features, prerequisites, and factors of establishing Russian-Chinese relations in the field of music education at each of the identified stages are revealed. It is said about the features of the mutual influence of Russian and Chinese musical cultures on the system of musical education in both countries. The foundations of modern cooperation are highlighted, as well as the prospects for its development in the near and medium term.
