Institute for the protection of the rights of indigenous peoples of the North: the history of formation, modern problems and directions of improvement

Indigenous peoples of the North, who already live in extreme natural and climatic conditions, have been subjected to cultural and industrial expansion for centuries. The authors tried to identify patterns in the history of the development of the institute for the protection of the rights of the indigenous peoples of the North, current problems in this area, new approaches to their solution on the base of historical, normative-legal, organizational-administrative and information-analytical documents of federal and regional authorities, research results, other authors, as well as publications in the mass media. The authors justify the leading role of the bar among the subjects involved in the protection of the rights of the indigenous peoples of the North.
