Zusammenfassung:Feminist theorists focus on the existence of women as an extension of the male perspective. The existence of women in mainstream cinema, which has a patriarchal order, finds its place in the film narrative structure in the context of feminism in cinema. Unlike stereotyped female characters who are weak, oppressed under male domination, and whose physical appearance and intelligence are inversely proportional, the existence of strong female characters who stand on their own feet, do not submit to the masculine order and stand behind the ideas they defend gives hope for cinema. The image of women in cinema is transferred to the silver screen from a female perspective through the eyes of female directors, as well as from a female perspective through the eyes of male directors or from a male perspective through the eyes of male directors. The film Bombshell (Scandal, Jay Roach, 2019), directed by Mathew Jay Roach, deals with sexual abuse, harassment and psychological violence experienced by women in the media sector. The most important reason for women’s visibility on the television screen is that they are beautiful, well-groomed and fit. In the film, the difficulties of being a woman in the media industry in a patriarchal order are conveyed to the audience. In this context, in this study, the concepts of embodiment of women and alienation and marginalisation of women from the perspective of feminist theories are examined in detail through the film Bombshell. Bombshell has an important place in the history of cinema both because it deals with the problems experienced by women in the media sector inspired by a real story and because it conveys to the audience the perception that the struggle with women’s solidarity can result in victory against the main male character of the film.
