Aggressive orbital infantile hemangioma Simulation of malignancy

The authors present their experience in managing two patients with a previously unreported presentation of orbital tumor. Initial findings were consistent with a malignant process suggesting neuroblastoma or rhabdomyosarcoma. Histologic examination however revealed an aggressive form of infantile hemangioma that responded well to intralesional and systemic corticosteroid therapy. The complications and treatment of infantile hemangiomas are reviewed.
