Zusammenfassung:The authors of the paper have been the first to reveal and describe the effect of radioactivity of nanodiamonds produced by detonation and static syntheses. Ordinary nanodiamonds were irradiated in the core of a commercial-scale reactor. It has been demonstrated that the resulting radioactivity is associated with the presence of metal-containing impurities in the initial nanodiamonds. The dose rate of γ-radiation achieved for nanodiamonds is about 180 μSv/h and the dose rate of combined γ+β-radiation is ∼ 720 μSv/h.
