Zusammenfassung:The results of studying the effect of nitrogen ion-beam implantation on the adhesiveness of the WC-8Co hard alloy have been discussed. The indentation of a rotating indenter into a counterbody has been used to measure the adhesion component of the friction coefficient, which has been shown to decrease in the surface modification by the nitrogen ion-beam implantation, especially when contact pressures exceed the counterbody yield strength.
