Mechanochemical treatment of silicon dioxide as an effective tool for regulating the SHS of composites
For SiO 2 + 37.5% Al blends, the effect of mechanoactivation (MA) on the kinetics of combustion was studied upon variation in MA conditions and in a size of green samples. MA and the use of modifying agents were found to elevate the burning velocity, combustion temperature, and extent of conversion.
