Zusammenfassung:We examine the possibility of making a plate-type pneumatic motor operate on compressed air without the spraying of lubricant. Based on an original mathematical model of a pneumatic motor, the loads and speeds in the main friction units (the rotor bearings and plates) upon interaction with the stator and rotor grooves are determined. The obtained data allow a logical approach to selecting bearings and polymer composite materials for plates that ensure operation under dry friction conditions, with friction and resource losses no worse than those of similar pneumatic motors with lubricants.
