Zusammenfassung:The decrease in the concentration of sulfur oxides in the gaseous products of the combustion of high-sulfur petroleum coke was studied. The aqueous dispersions of shale from the Baltic Basin, shale semi-coke, shale ash, and calcium oxide were studied as the additives that decrease the formation of gaseous sulfur oxides. A change in the rate of combustion of impregnated samples, as compared with that of the initial coke, was considered.
