Zusammenfassung:Reports birds are a major issue for airport authorities creating hazards to operating aircraft. Reveals the results of an experiment using a species of grass, Schedonorus arundinaceus, which can be colonised by a unique strain of the mutualistic fungal endophyte Epicloé coenophiala. Measures the effect of the endophyte on bird presence during a series of trials at two NZ airports between 2007 and 2012.
