Zusammenfassung: | A female case of benign recurrent intrahepatic cholestasis with infantile onset was reported. A girl had first experienced jaundice at the age of six months, and suffered three subsequent attacks over the next seven years. Light microscopy revealed that there were bile plugs in the centrilobular areas, but neither significant liver necrosis, bile duct proliferation, nor dilation was apparent. Bile acid composition in the serum, urine, and feces were examined for a period of seven years. The levels of total bile acid in the serum, urine, and feces increased and these mainly consisted of colic acid and chenodeoxycholic acid. And coprostanol was not found in the feces. |
