The statistical and clinical investigation of HBeAg/anti-HBe system in patients with HBe antigen-positive chronic hepatitis type B treated with antiviral and immunoregulatory therapies

Effects of adenine arabinoside (Ara-A, n=10), steroid withdrawal (n=12) and a combination of these two therapies (n=12) on serum HBeAg positivity were statistically studied in patients with chronic hepatitis type B, as compared with the patients with chronic hepatits type B treatd without any specif...

Zusammenfassung:Effects of adenine arabinoside (Ara-A, n=10), steroid withdrawal (n=12) and a combination of these two therapies (n=12) on serum HBeAg positivity were statistically studied in patients with chronic hepatitis type B, as compared with the patients with chronic hepatits type B treatd without any specific therapies (control, n=32). Cumulative induction curves of seronegative (SN) or seroconversion (SC) for HBeAg were simulated by Weibull analysis. Following results were obtained: 1) Annual SN rates were significantly higher in Ara-A, steroid withdrawal and combination therapy than in control (p
