Zusammenfassung: | An autopsy case of primary squamous cell carcinoma in the liver was reported. A patient was a 71-year-old male. A massive tumor composed of necrotic nodular lesions was observed in the lower part of the right lobe of the liver. Although a number of nodular lesions were seen both in the left lobe and the upper part of the right lobe of the liver, there was no remote metastasis either in other organs nor lymph nodes. Histologically, tumor cells in this case were mature squamous cell carcinoma with a typical pavement-like arrangement and a cancer pearl formation. Histogenesis of the primary squamous cell carcinoma in the liver was discussed. |
