Zusammenfassung: | Crop-weed competition is a limiting factor in the growth of mulberry plant and weed management practices had marked influence on weed density and weed dry matter production. Based on the weed survey in the farmers field and investigations compared to chemical weeding intercropping with cowpea had an increased weed control effect in mulberry plantations. The lowest density and dry matter of weeds were recorded in cowpea intercropping treatment. Reduced density and dry matter production of weeds resulted in increased production of mulberry growth and yield. |
