Principles and Policies on Taiwan's Return to the Motherland and Peaceful Reunification (October 1, 1981)

Today, on the eve of the thirty-second anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and at the approach of the seventieth anniversary of the 1911 Revolution, I would like, first of all, to extend my festive greetings and cordial regards to the people of all nationalities of our country, including Taiwan compatriots, Hong Kong and Macao compatriots, and overseas Chinese.
