Zusammenfassung: | This report sets out the control measures recommended for the safety of clients, staff, service and maintenance personnel and others. Engineering controls which form part of the medical laser equipment or the installation are also briefly described to provide an understanding of the general principles of protection. The object of this report is to provide information which helps to protect persons from overexposure to laser and other associated hazards by providing guidance on how to establish safety measures and procedures.Provided the laser equipment operator is appropriately educated and trained and the guidelines in medical settings. The user should assess the risks involved with the use of laser equipment. A clear distinction should be made between risks for the user/personnel and risks for the client. Safety measures should be derived and added to the risks, which ensure that injuries are prevented and side-effects minimized. |
