Zusammenfassung:Head-and-neck cancer is the fifth most frequently occurring cancer in India. Among the various treatment options, side effects such as trismus are mostly caused due to radiation therapy. Physical therapy is known to be beneficial in treating post-cancer treatment side effects. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study report highlighting the efficacy of MaRhyThe© in treating radiation induced trismus. A multimodal approach (MaRhyThe©, Cupping therapy, Myofascial Release, and exercises) has shown to be beneficial in treating trismus, shoulder disability, pain, muscle spasm, and improving the quality of life in the head-and-neck cancer patient.
