Zusammenfassung: | The photon correlation technique is used in several turbulent fluid investigations, whose various results highlight the significant advantages and disadvantages of the photon-resolved processor. Although lack of control over the particle size distribution of light scatters, and the lengthy experimental time required for a photon-resolved autocorrelation curve, are noted as disadvantages, credible mean velocity measurements can be made in flow configurations which would be inaccessible using the counter and/or tracker techniques. |
