Zusammenfassung: | This method of predicting the performance of confined flows proves to be both useful and flexible. The model allows the determination of gross flow parameters using a set of simplified assumptions. This method can be correlated with other models. Once a reasonably chosen set of velocity profiles is selected, the gross parameters of the flow can be calculated. The dependence of the model on the entrainment equation requires more empirical data to be collected. Thus, if a long flame is desired, both low swirl and high confining velocity are required. The ultimate accuracy of this model will be ascertained when more specific measurements are obtained for this type of flow. |
