Zusammenfassung: | The limit of the application of the Breed method and the relationship between the direct microscopic counts of individual bacteria measured by the Breed method and the bacterial populations measured by the standard plate count (SPC) method was examined, using the data obtained in the performance test of Bactoscan 17600 (A/S N. Foss Electric, Denmark). The correlation coefficient between the logarithm values obtained by the Breed method and those of Bactoscan Impulses were 0.491 for the samples whose Bactoscan Impulses were less than 1000.This shows that the Breed method was unrelialiable for the samples of low bacterial counts ( |
