A Questionnaire Study about the Nosocomial Infection Control Procedures in External Facilities for Postgraduate Clinical Training Program for Dentists of the Kyushu Dental College Hospital

We carried out a questionnaire survey to make clear the measures against nosocomial infection on authorized external facilities in 2007 for postgraduate clinical training courses of the Kyushu Dental College Hospital. Questionnaires were distributed to the clinics, and 69 clinics responded (76.7%). The ratio of clinic that used protective masks and disposable gloves was high, but the ratio of protective glasses or dental cap was low. The ratio of extra-oral vacuum facilities was also low. These results suggest that it is necessary to spread the newest information of the nosocomial infection control procedures in each the external facilities.
