Zusammenfassung:Effects of gibberellin (GA) and 6-benzilaminopurine (BA) combined application and the effects of GA application and day length on flower induction in Odontioda orchid were investigated in experiment 1 and 2, respectively. In experiment 1, BA application did not affect spiking of Odontioda, but the spiking percentage was increased to about 90% by sole application of 100 ppm of GA3. In experiment 2, the spiking percentage under night break treatment was less than that of a 10-h day length. However, 100 ppm of GA3 application increased the spiking percentage up to 80% regardless of the difference in day length. Thus, it was demonstrated that sole application of 100 ppm of GA3 significantly improved the spiking of Odontioda orchid.
