Zusammenfassung:Objective: Determine the gender gap between salary averages in the private sector of Ecuador, case study: professional, scientific and technical activities 2016 – 2023.   Theoretical Framework: The theory of strengthening human capital was used, establishing that Mincerian assumptions in professional, scientific and technical activities they are homogeneous, because the level of instruction required for their exercise is of a higher level.   Method: Documentary study with a focus on quantitative variables, hypothetical-deductive analysis method with ANOVA test to determine the significance between the differences in salary averages.   Results and Discussion: The trend in women's participation in the private sector was positive, although the increase in said period was less than 6%. The reduction in the salary gap was not homogeneous for all subcategories of this economic sector, concluding that the differences between the salary averages that give rise to the gap in favor of men are still significant.   Originality/Value: It is a study that helps evaluate the efficiency of economic policies in terms of reducing inequalities based on gender criterial.
