A Case of a 15 Year-old Girl with Adenocarcinoma of the Lung Detected by Mass Examination

A case of a 15 year-old girl with bronchogenic carcinoma was reported. She was found to have an abnormal density in the right middle lobe in the chest X-ray by mass examination. Right middle lobectomy confirmed the diagnosis of well-differentiated tubular adenocarcinoma probably originating from the broncial gland. The stage was p-T2N1M0, stagell. Bronchogenic carcinoma in children is extremely rare and its prognosis is usually poor, but long term survival can be expected in surgically treated cases. Early detection and early resection are particularly required.
