Zusammenfassung: | This study aims to reveal the effectiveness of the ESTU401 Transition to Professional Life (1+1; 2 ECTS) course, designed to help university senior students gain the competencies needed for career development and to develop their existing competencies, on the students’ career decision-making self-efficacy (CDMSE) levels. An experimental model with pretest-posttest control group was used, with an effort to evaluate the effect of the students taking the 8th semester ESTU401 course on their career decision-making self-efficacy and the differentiation status based on the factors affecting these levels. All the analyses were done by using R. The results show that the career decision-making self-efficacy of the students who took the ESTU401 course increased in all of the factors. In addition, the CDMSE levels of the students were found to differ in the Level of Satisfaction with the Department. These results make an important contribution to the literature by revealing the effects of a career course given online during the Covid-19 pandemic on students’ CDMSE. |
