Zusammenfassung: | In this study, functionalization of low-molecular-weight polyethylene by melt grafting of maleic anhydride was investigated. The results reveal that initiator concentration, reaction time and temperature have the greatest influence on the graft degree. Structure of maleic anhydride grafted low-molecular-weight po-lyethylene was proven by FTIR, DTA and XRD me-thods. The grafted low-molecular-weight polyethylene has a potential application as a compatibilizer for mate-rials based on polyethylene compounds. |
