Zusammenfassung:The activities of zinc in the Fe–Zn system have been determined by measuring the vapour pressure of zinc over the alloys and pure zinc by a transportation technique. This study was made over a temperature range from 973 to 1073 K and over the entire compositional range. The calculated activities were found to show positive deviations from ideality. Based on these results, modifications to the existing phase diagram in the zinc rich region were proposed.
