A new genus, Kairothamnus, and new species in Cleidion, Glochidion, Homalanthus, Mallotus and Phyllanthus from New Guinea are described; the paper is a necessary precursor to the forthcoming 'Euphorbiaceae of New Guinea' to be published in the Kew Bulletin Additional Series shortly.
