Zusammenfassung:Examination of 52 female black brant (Branta bernicla nigricans), recaptured at the location of banding on the nesting grounds 1 and 2 years after they were marked with light green neckbands, indicated that their nesting success was significantly poorer than that of leg-banded controls or unbanded brant. No other aberrant behavior or evidence of physical impairment was noted.
