Zusammenfassung:	The antibody responses of rhesus monkeys given attenuated Venezuelan equine encephalitis vaccine 24 hours after 400 R of acute whole-body x-irradiation were studied. Hemagglutination-inhibiting (HI) and mouse neutralizing antibody titers were used as indices of the immune response. Mean HI antibody titers in irradiated monkeys were depressed at 14 and 21 days postvaccination compared with nonirradiated, vaccinated controls. Forty-two days after vaccination, comparable HI titers were observed in irradiated and control monkeys. Neutralizing antibody titers in irradiated monkeys were also lower than in controls at day 14, but by day 28 they were similar to those of the vaccine controls.
