Zusammenfassung:Paracromastigum fiordlandiae Schust. & Engel from New Zealand is described. It approaches Hyalolepidozia in the almost uniformly intercalary branching but differs from it in the intermingled 2-3-lobed leaves and the stem with 9-12 rows of cortical cells. Paracromastigum and Hyalolepidozia are intimately allied to Pseudocephalozia Schust., and one could argue that they could all be placed as subgeneric elements in a single genus. Whatever their status, these taxa fit reasonably well into Lepidoziaceae subfam. Zoopsidoideae.
