Potentilla basaltica (Rosaceae), a new species from Nevada

Potentilla basaltica Tiehm & Ertter is described, illustrated, and compared to other members of the Multijugae group, P. newberryi, and Ivesia. The leaf form and small flowers are reminiscent of Ivesia, indicating a possible new link between the two genera.
