Xenostegia, a new genus of Convolvulaceae

Stigma anatomy, pollen morphology, cotyledon structure and other traits suggest that two species formerly considered members of Merremia fall outside and acceptable range of variation for that genus. A new genus, Xenostegia, is proposed for these two species.
