Testing for Correlated Errors in the Analysis of Variance
In a two-way analysis of variance, one factor may have a spatial or temporal structure, in which case correlation may be expected between the errors for the different levels of that factor. This note suggests a procedure for checking this in analyses with just one observation per combination of leve...

Zusammenfassung: | In a two-way analysis of variance, one factor may have a spatial or temporal structure, in which case correlation may be expected between the errors for the different levels of that factor. This note suggests a procedure for checking this in analyses with just one observation per combination of levels of the two factors. The procedure involves calculation of correlation coefficients. It is illustrated on measurements of the size of mitral cells in the olfactory bulbs of rats. |
