Zusammenfassung:A successive sampling design is examined where a ratio estimate is used on the matched portion of the sample. A comparison is made between this estimate and one which uses a regression estimate on the matched portion. A method of simplification is considered wherein the means from the matched and unmatched parts of the sample are combined giving each equal weights of 0.50.
