Multiple Captures of the Fulvous Harvest Mouse (Reithrodontomys fulvescens)

The sexual composition of the animals in 24 captures in the same trap (multiple captures) and 90 simultaneous captures in both traps at sites with two traps of Reithrodontomys fulvescens was analyzed. Multiple captures included two MM, three FF and 19 MF; simultaneous captures at a trap site consisted of 10 MM, 14 FF and 66 MF. There were significantly more heterosexual capture combinations and significantly fewer capture combinations of the same sex than would be expected by chance in both cases. A comparison was made with other studies of multiple captures of Reithrodontomys sp.
