Notes on low temperature activity of oligochaetes, gastropods and centipedes in Southern Canada

Lumbricids are restricted in their activity by low temperatures, the threshold for activity being from 5 to 7C in the autumn and about 2 to 4C in the spring. Gastropod activity decreased directly with falling temperatures and ceased near 0C, while mobility by centipedes ceased at -1.5C.
