Zusammenfassung:Perceptions of the role and value of new technology and media and impediments to its implementation became apparent in the responses to the survey. Teachers at all levels along the K-16 continuum identified four major road blocks to acquisition and deepening of their knowledge and use of new media materials. Some significant differences between K-12 and post-secondary groups concern the importance of ten issues that respondents felt need the attention of the profession. Differences emerged between developers of materials and those who do not develop, relating to the types of media they use on a frequent basis. Developers believed that these highly-touted learning tools lacked contextualization and relevance to the learner or curriculum, and felt constrained to develop their own materials that better suited their program goals.
