Zusammenfassung:Analysis of Holocene soricid fossils, previously regarded as Sorex cf. cinereus, from Moonshiner and Middle Butte caves, Bingham Co., Idaho, revealed Sorex merriami, S. monticolus, S. nanus, and S. cf. haydeni. The latter two taxa are new records for Idaho; their former presence is consistent with cooler temperatures and greater precipitation postulated to have occurred during part of the time that these caves operated as natural traps.
