Zusammenfassung: | The USDA's grain inspection system has drawn considerable attention due to allegations of misgrading. this paper presents a brief description of the current corn grading system. an exploration is made of the possible role of sampling variation as a factor in differences between corn grades determined through the USDA grain grade appeals procedures. sampling variation can explain at least some differences between original and revised corn grades. suggestions are offered for additional research. |
