Comments on an Interdisciplinary Social Science Approach for Conservation Administration

Conservation administration for the wise use of natural resources for present and future generations is particularly conducive to the interdisciplinary social science approach. Resource managers usually recognize that the majority of their problems and decisions are human ones and hence pertain to values. Conceptual working frameworks and theoretical possibilities of the social sciences (including ecology and animal behavior) are discussed, with emphasis on value analysis and with a case study.
